In a significant step toward promoting workplace health and raising awareness about chronic diseases, a Diabetes Awareness Seminar was successfully organized at the Interloop Dhanola Unit, in collaboration with Mujahid Hospital, Faisalabad and Interloop Limited. The seminar aimed to educate employees about the growing threat of diabetes, the importance of early detection, and lifestyle modifications to prevent and manage the condition effectively.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation from a large number of Interloop employees, who gathered to learn more about this increasingly common but manageable disease. With the growing prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan and globally, such awareness sessions are vital in equipping people with the knowledge to protect their health and improve their quality of life.

The keynote speaker for the seminar was Dr. Abdul Shakoor, an experienced medical professional from Mujahid Hospital, who shared valuable insights on the causes, symptoms, risk factors, and complications of diabetes. He emphasized the critical role of preventive measures, including regular physical activity, weight management, reduced sugar intake, and the adoption of a balanced and nutritious diet.

In his address, Dr. Abdul Shakoor stated:
“Diabetes is a silent disease that often progresses without symptoms. However, by making simple yet consistent changes to your lifestyle and diet, and by monitoring your health regularly, it is very much preventable. Early diagnosis and proper management are key to avoiding serious health complications.”

The seminar also focused on educating participants about the link between hypertension and diabetes, stressing the need for routine health check-ups to ensure early intervention and effective disease control.

Distinguished corporate representatives, including Mr. Irfan Yasin (Senior Manager Corporate) and Mr. Muhammad Imtiaz (Manager Corporate), were present at the event. Their participation demonstrated Interloop’s commitment to the well-being of its workforce and the promotion of a healthy work environment.

Following the seminar, a free health screening camp was conducted for all employees, where blood sugar levels and blood pressure readings were checked by the medical team from Mujahid Hospital. This initiative provided employees with an immediate assessment of their health status and encouraged them to seek further medical advice if needed.

The collaborative efforts of Mujahid Hospital and Interloop in organizing this seminar reflect a shared vision of community health education and proactive disease prevention. Both organizations are committed to continuing such health-focused initiatives to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to lead healthier lives.

We extend our sincere thanks to all participants, organizers, and medical professionals who contributed to the success of this impactful event.
